Techvisie accommodations
If you are going to the Netherlands, you would also like to know how your accommodation is arranged. For example, you want to know whether you will have your own room and how far you have to drive to work every day. We understand that, because it is the place where you can relax in the evening and recharge for a new day.
Many of our technical professionals come from Poland, Romania, Germany, Hungary and Spain. So maybe you. Leaving your home country and family behind to earn money in the Netherlands is an easier step for some than for others. Before you make that decision, it is useful to know how the accommodation is arranged. We think it is important and obvious that your sleeping place is comfortable and safe. On this page we tell you more about the accommodation and we answer the most frequently asked questions.

Who arranged the housing?
If there is a match between you and the recruiter, then you’ve got the job and you can start working with us. We arrange the paperwork and we link you to an account manager. He/she is your regular point of contact. The account manager makes an inventory of what you need to perform your work as well and safely as possible, such as a car, electrical tools and of course a house to sleep in. The account manager sends the application – with all the necessary matters – to the facilities department.
Where am I going to sleep?
We will look for good accommodation based on the location of your new workplace. We always consider an acceptable travel time between the work location and the accommodation. We strive for you to travel as little as possible. Do we doubt? Then we will contact you to discuss, so that you are not faced with strange surprises. Your account manager will tell you where the accommodation is and how to enter. This is often with a key, an access code or someone is already present.
What does my accommodation look like?
We have several houses under our own management and have short lines with hosts where we regularly rent houses. The houses therefore differ in appearance, layout and location. Usually you are placed in a house with several technical professionals. You always get your own bedroom; very nice for your privacy. The houses are furnished and have a kitchen, sitting area and bathroom. Some accommodations also have a nice garden or outdoor space. Free WIFI is also available, so you can keep in touch with your family and friends.
Below you see a house where four of our technical professionals stay. Due to privacy, we have not photographed the bedrooms.
SNF: what is it?
SNF stands for Stichting Normering Flexwonen. This organization manages and maintains the register of companies that meet the standard for housing for migrant workers. Techvisie is also SNF certified. This means that we meet the standard for housing migrant workers.
We carry out an administrative inspection every year. This checks whether all locations have been reported to SNF and whether the requirements of good employment practices and supervision and management are met. During the year, all locations for which we are responsible (1st responsible) are inspected for compliance with all SNF standards.
Our houses meet all legal requirements. Points on which SNF checks are: space, privacy, sanitation, safety, hygiene, facilities, information facilities, fire safety, supervision and management.
How much do I have to pay for housing?
Nothing! Yes, you read that right. We offer accommodation free of charge for our professionals who come to the Netherlands from abroad. We think it is important that everyone has a good and safe roof over their head. We therefore bear these costs at our own expense.
