Working with your brother. A dream or a nightmare? Several brothers work together at Techvisie. So are Martin and Milos. They have been working as plumbers / central heating technicians at Techvisie for about 5 years. We asked them what it is like to work together and how they experience Techvisie as an employer. These are Martin (38) and Milos (44). Two brothers who decided years ago to come to the Netherlands from the Czech Republic. “We wanted to work abroad. We received a good offer from Hans (location manager Techvisie Limburg). The contact was also very good, friendly and pleasant. We are still very satisfied. We work relaxed without stress. We also think the Netherlands is a very pleasant country to stay in. The people are friendly and everything is well organized.”
What is it like working with your brother and do you recommend it to others?
“It’s super fun to work together. We know each other like no other and therefore know that we can work very well together. We are very proud that we work together at Techvisie and also recommend other people to work with their brother (or other family). Working in another country is quite exciting in the beginning. When you’re together, you never feel alone. Other family members also came to the Netherlands to work at Techvisie, such as our uncle. And also friends from Slovakia. That just feels great!”
What kind of work do you do?
“We work as plumbers and work with different systems. We really like it here, because we use a different system than we knew in our own country. So we learn a lot of new things, which makes the work very interesting.”
How do you experience Techvisie as an employer?
“In the beginning it was great, really, because of everything Techvisie offered us and arranged for us. We are now fully trained and experienced employees. We are still very happy to be part of the Techvisie team, because Hans – and everyone else – always do their best to help us when needed.”
What do you prefer to do in your spare time?
“We don’t do everything together in our spare time. We both have a partner with whom we also like to spend time. But when we go out together as brothers, we like to go fishing or we travel through the Netherlands to discover new places. Especially Texel, that is the most beautiful place!”
